Studies on the Siwalik Artiodactyla (Suoides, Anthracotherioidea and Cervoides)

Abstract

The work was started on 1.2.1986 and a number of field trips were carried out for the collection of specimens. The detail of these trips is given in the following pages. In the first-year work was carried out on suoidea; in the second year Anthracotherioidea and in the third year cervoidea were studied. In the first year twelve species, in the second year five species and in the third year also five species were described. A new species of Hexaprotodon has been described. The other material gives additional information on the known species.
