Proboscidea are quite common fossils in the Siwaliks. The material under study, which pertains to Gomphotheriidae, is represented by twelve isolated teeth which are referable to four genera and eight species. Of these four specimens are gragmentary and could be identified to genus level only. However, they will attract the visitors in the natural history museum.en_US
