dc.description.abstract | In this studies 486 species belonging to 81 Angiospermic families have been palynologically studied. The basic information collected from this was further explored in connection with the airbone pollen and spores which cause Allergies and Asthma. In this regard two new devices ‘THE AERO-PALYNO-TRAP’ and uniform ‘SLIDE COASTER’ hace been deviced. These devices have been proved to be very useful in the climatic conditions of Pakistan. The seasonal variation of Airborne pollen and spores have yielded that maximum concentration of these organisms in Lahore is during spring (middle March to middle of May) and in autumn (middle of September to middle of November). Medical experiment are desired in connection of airborne pollen and spores which cause Allergies and Asthma. 10 honey samples obtained from actual bee-hives have also been studied palynolofiaclly and their pollen contents are shown in the chapter ‘The Honeys’ (see pages 160-166). It is proved that the commercial honeys have very low percentages of pollen contents in comparison to natural honeys. Therefore, the medicinal properties depend upon the pollen contents of honey. | en_US |
