Abstract: Cardiovascular health hazards has become one of majorlife threats in Pakistan, the risks may vary from province to province. Present study aimsto find out the role of psycho-social depression& its relation with risks of cardiovascularmaladies in city of Hyderabad-Pakistan.A cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2012to February 2013; basedonmultiple logistic to investigatethe relationship between Depression, lifestyle &blood pressure variations.The Studyincluded 174 subjectsboth males and females gender with age between 18-25years.Depression ratingscale was used to evaluate type & causeof depression furthermoreBMI and blood pressure of each subjectwere alsonoted. Our study observed that the intensity of stressis directly related with the disturbed blood pressures. Study also observed that with the increasing BMI the prevalence of depressionis high. It is therefore concluded that depressionis the major risk factor that will increase the risksof cardiovascular maladies; along with other factorslike obesity, psychosocial issues like elevating crime & violence rate could be the majorcause of depression in Hyderabad city
