dc.description.abstractAim: To analyze different patterns in clinical presentation for benign breast diseases in surgical OPD at Chaudhry Rehmat Ali Memorial Trust Teaching Hospital, Township, Lahore. Duration: The data is collected from 01july 2015 to 31 Dec 2016. Methods: Female patients from all age groups are included in the study who primarily presented in our surgical OPD with clinical features of benign breast diseases. All these patients were physically examined and advised Ultrasound Breast, mammogram and Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology of the lump. Results: In our study 142 female patients are analyzed presented with different clinical features like breast lump, pain, lumpiness and nipple discharge and in combination of these symptoms as well. Maximum no. of patients are found within age group 21-30years. Fibroadenoma is leading diagnosis in our study i.e., 34% followed by fibrocystic disease 23% of total patients. Conclusion: Benign Breast diseases are common in young females presenting with different breast related symptoms and lead of anxiety in female population due to increasing awareness. Clinical examination along with Ultrasound and Fine needle aspiration cytology are easily available low cost tool with high sensitivity and specificity proved from published literature in diagnosis of benign breast diseasesen_US
