Abstract: | Stigmasterol-3-O-β-D glucopyranoside (1) has been isolated from pnematophores (aerial roots) of Avicennia marina (Forssk.) Vierh. along with two triterpenoids, ursolic acid (2) and α-amyrin (3). Compounds 1 and 2 are reported for the first time from this plant. Compound (1) was found to possess moderate anti-glycation activity. |
