Abstract: Objective: To determine Hounsfield unit of upper urinary tract Urolithiasis. Methodology: This descriptive cross sectional study was conducted in 160 patients at Urology and Radiology departments of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, Pakistan from July 2017 to June 2018. All patients with either gander having stone size diagnosed with Plain CT-KUB ranging from >5mm to complete staghorn were included in study. Patients with renal insufficiency, diabetes mellitus, pregnancy and uncorrected coagulopathy were excluded from study. Hounsfield units were calculated in all patients. Results: Out of 160 cases, 61(38.1%) were female and 99(61.9%) were male. Mean age was 31.29±9.06 years. Minimum Hounsfield units was 108, maximum 1775 (mean 941.5). Conclusion: CT-KUB is considered as investigation of choice not only for diagnosis but also helps in calculating Hounsfield units of different stones. That Hounsfield unit’s calculation leads the way to manage stones, especially with ESWL according to HFU.
