dc.description.abstractSawdust and ammonium sulphate significantly reduced the population of plant parasitic nematode on carrot, radish, table beet, turnip, wheat and barely used as test plants. Where sawdust was used nematode population consistently decreased with increasing dose of carbon. The decrease in nematode population was further enhanced in presence of nitrogen. Sawdust at all C levels increased yield which was further increased in presence of nitrogen, excepting turnip where higher doses of C were phyto-toxic. The beneficial effects of different treatments persisted in the linseed and okra as well.en_US
