Abstract: The effects of treatment with carbofuran @ 1kg a.i./ha in plots naturally infested with Longidorus elongates, Meloidogyne incognita and Pratylenchus brachyurus in which peanuts exhibited patchy growth was evaluated. The nematode population was reduced and yield of two peanut genotypes substantially increased. An improved root system led to a greater number of branches per vine in the treated plots as compared to untreated.
