The purpose of the study was to develop a method for the determination of Nimesulide using visible spectrophotometry. It is based on the reaction of Nimesulide with biuret reagent, which forms a greenish coloured complex. The formed complex exhibited maximum absorption at 400 nm. The limit of detection of Nimesulide was 2.5 µg mL ⁻¹ and the limit of quantification was 5.0 µg mL⁻¹. The developed method has acceptable accuracy (97-101%) and correlation coefficient (< 3%). The method was successfully applied on three different tablet dosage brands available in Pakistani market and statistical data shows that results are reliable and reproducible.en_US
