Abstract: Tafseer Mafateeh ul Ghaib, commonly known as Tafseer e Kabeer by Imam Fakhru Din Al Razi (blessed be upon him) has a distinctive place in Arabic sources . This tafseer consists of thirty two volumes. Nearly every sort of knowledge relating to tafseer has been discussed in rather detail. Reaseach work has gone through so far on its various aspects. A project on remaining portions of this Tafseer was initiated in Abdul Wali Khan Univesrsty Mardan and by the grace of Allah Almighty, I was granted an opportunity to have my Ph.D resaeach of on the ninth volume of this Tafseer.I completed the proposed work focusing on in view the following aspects. First of all I translated the Tafseer in plain words of relevant term of Urdu language.Tarjama of Fatah Muhammad Jhalandri was consulted for the translation of Ayat e Karima in the Tafseer. The source and authenticity of the Hadith’s and the sayings of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) Sahabas have been verified from its relevant sources.Furthermore, the source and authenticity of the etymological explanations is also traced in research. All names referred to in the research have been identified in footnotes. wherever a need is felt,Problems related to jurisprudence have been clarified in detail. Pronunciation of certan words/terms has also been piontedout.Certain grammmatical terms mentioned in the Tafseer ,were also explained .Certain dogmatic creeds/ beliefs mentioned in the tafseer have been discussed by the researcher.All the couplets mentioned in the Tafseer were traced to their refrence and context ز
