Abstract: The aim of current study was to determine the frequency of various dietary patterns in patient with coronary artery disease. This study showed a significant association between coronary artery disease and cholesterol and fat rich diet. It was concluded that subjects of Group A and Group B have a significant (<0.05) difference in Cholesterol, LDL, HDL and Triglyceride levels (140.3±10.6, 130.13±12.16, 40.2±15.10, 120.20±13.20), (230.11±14.26, 190.10±10.12, 30.5±1.14, 200.50±33.24) respectively. This study has proved that preventive strategies of healthy diet can decrease the incidence of coronary artery disease in general population.
